Writing Tools

I just wanted to post on here about how impressed I was with Fauns yesterday. We were planning our stories and collecting WOW words to use in our writing.

I suggested to the class to use tools to collect WOW words and was amazed at the collection of tools that they chose independently. They chose:

Fauns 2011-12

Welcome!

It was our second day all together in Faun class today and what a start we've had.

I've seen some incredible holiday homework and learning, beautiful handwriting, great reading skills and some pretty fabulous dancing this afternoon! Space Rabbits of Brocklevoons by Kate Rowe was bounced and flounced to by all in our PE lesson!

I've been so impressed by the progress that Fauns have already made, especially in learning that forming our letter joins correctly helps make our writing clear and neat. Chloe and Kieran in particular really focussed on their 'Next Steps' in order to improve.

For those parents who are following our news on here, I thought I'd attach a virtual copy of our timetable for this week so you know a little bit more about what we are doing. I'll post up a normal week timetable next Monday.

I hope to see lots of you at the Parents' Meeting tomorrow afternoon after school. For those of you who have been able to attend the previous ones, there are some new pieces of information to pass on, so please do try and make it if you can.

Also, I am aware that Dragons' Home Reading Journals have gone home today. Fauns' will be going home tomorrow night ready for the weekend. If you have any questions about reading at North Walsham Junior, please feel free to come and speak to Mr Hodder or myself at the Parents' Meeting, or any other time after school.
