Excitement on the field!

In Assembly this morning the whole school was told the exciting news that something had been found on the school field.

There is no need for anybody to worry, everybody is safe, the children have been asked to stay away from the area until it is revealed what has been found.

As yet we have no further details but an investigator has been in this morning to see what he can discover. We will keep you posted.

Exciting news indeed, looking forward to hearing all about it from Becky when she gets home. It's hard to tell with the gear on but I imagine with all the various types of places the investigators have to attend that he was really happy to help out a school for a change.

This is Faun class speaking. When we got the announcement in assembly we felt very surprised yet a bit scared. Once we got outside at breaktime, we saw a big lump of soil on the ground and the policeman's car was on the playground. We wondered what was going on! Then, we all wanted to see what was happening because we thought it was something cool. We think it could be...
a) something left over from the fireworks display like gunpowder
b) something from Roman times that has been buried
c) a meteorite
d) treasure or a Roman penny
e) broken piece from one of the many satellites orbiting earth

What do you think?

Wow how exciting !
When i went out at breaktime and saw it, my first thoughts were that we had been visited by a "Monstorous Mole" and the man in the white suit was looking for clues as to where it may have gone.
I tried to get a glimpse of what he was writing on his clipboard but i just couldnt see.
I now think, however, that having read the comment left by Faun class their ideas of what is going on are much more sensible.
I am looking forward to school tomorrow to find out if there have been any further developments!

Georgina B here,
Perhaps it was a Roman penny and if you dig deeper, you might find the treasure box full gems, rubies and more pennies!
