Cube afternoon

Fauns have been working so hard this term that they are enjoying their cube afternoon today.

A lovely quote from Tristan, "This is going to be so fun!" when referring to our cupcake-decorating station.

It's so lovely to see them enjoying this reward as they put so much effort into their learning day. Millie also just showed me how she's using her learning even on an afternoon like this. We're watching The Smurfs and she did some mental maths subtracting the smurfs that Gargamel had sucked up in his hoover from how many smurfs there first were. 5-3=2. She checked her answer against her estimate too. What a star!

Here they all are 'partying' on the carpet in lots of very snuggly PJs!

Be prepared for lots of hyped-up children tonight however. The snack table is weighed down with every form of sugar possible! You'll be pleased to know that the cherry tomatoes and grapes that I bought for the occasion have equally gone down a storm!

Well done Fauns on all your effort and I hope you've enjoyed the afternoon!

We were just looking at your class celebration. How fun! We think you are so lucky that you get a party at school! We get parties, but we don't get to eat in our classrooms anymore :-(. We noticed that many of you wore pajamas, but some were wearing uniforms. Do you always have to wear them at school? At home? In the bathtub? We also wanted to know what you learn. We can't wait to blog with you!
